Gymnastics

I am taking this week off work to spend some time with Barbara and Maggie and get some stuff done around the house. This gave me the opportunity to go to Maggie's gymnastics class. She did great! I was able to take some pictures and are attaching them. She really loves her class and it was amazing to watch her have so much fun. By the way, can you tell she likes Elmo??

Disney on Ice

On Saturday we took Maggie to see Disney on Ice. She LOVED it! It was a 2 hour show and she didn't even get out of her seat for intermission! We went with Mia and her parents and Maggie and Mia wore matching Minnie Mouse shirts. They were adorable. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera with me, but Jennifer took some pictures and said they came out great. We look forward to the next opportunity we get to take Maggie to something similar to this show.
On Sunday after church we went to the Chattanooga market Octoberfest celebration. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves. We spent some time with Barbara's aunt and cousin Beth and Maggie was able to jump and went down an inflatable slide 5 times. And I thought she was afraid of slides. If I can get some of the pictures Beth took, I will post them on here. I'm sure they turned out great.

my Birthday

Saturday was my 41st birthday and Barbara and Maggie made me a cake while I was at work. Barbara said that Maggie actually made the cake, all she did was measure out the ingredients. We went to dinner on Friday with Barbara's mom and aunt and they came over for cake afterwards. It was a very nice evening, and Maggie sings "Happy Birthday" better than I have ever heard anyone sing it. I'm still eating the cake and she sings every time she sees it.

Alyssa

A couple of weeks ago (I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything) Barbara got to babysit for her goddaughter Alyssa for a couple of afternoons. Alyssa is also 3 years old and she and Maggie had fun playing together.

Preparing for Halloween!

Last Monday after gymnastics, Maggie, Barbara, and Mia and her mom all got their toenails painted for halloween. They are orange with a black cat, and very cool. I'm not certain that Maggie grasps the idea of halloween as of yet, but we are sure are looking forward to her trick or treating. Barbara's mom is going to come over and hand out candy while Barbara and I take Maggie around our neighborhood.

Skyler's birthday

On Sunday we picked up my mother in Knoxville and went to Skyler's fifth birthday party in New Tazewell, Tennesee. Maggie did great in the car and slept most of the way home. We had a great time and glad we were able to make this festive occassion. Maggie got to hit a pinata for the first time and met her cousin Kaitlyn for the first time. She also enjoyed spending time with Grandma. It was almost a 3 hour ride, so we now know we can travel longer distances.

Before Church

On Sunday mornings Barbara has to get ready before us so she can teach Sunday school. Barbara drives my car and Maggie and I meet her at 10:00 service. Maggie usually gets upset when mommy leaves so I have to distract her (or maybe it's bribing). This Sunday I told her we would take pictures, so we did. They are some of the best pictures I have taken of Maggie. She wants to always have her picture made lately, and loves looking at her self. I guess I would too if I were as cute as her...........................................................

Take my picture...pease! (Maggie speak for please)

Lately Maggie loves to have her picture made and likes to be silly for videos. Here are some for your enjoyment. We also had her Halloween pictures made at JCPenney's and they can be viewed here: https://www.smilesbywire.com/home.asp?AC=LTPP0598101178JCP enter Barbara Haimelin in the customer name.

Fall

The fall is my favorite time of the year. The leaves are beginning to change a little bit, and I think cooler weather is on the way (it was 86 degrees yesterday). I finally got my computer working the way it needs to work. I can't believe it's been two weeks since I've posted on here. I'm trying to think what has happened in the last 2 weeks that won't bore everyone. We took Maggie to get her Halloween pictures made on Saturday. They came out pretty well, and we are expecting an email with the proofs attached. If I can, I will post a link on here. Maggie is doing well, and continues to amaze us. She is such a great kid.

We got our fall and halloween decorations out last week and on Saturday we had Barbara's mom and aunt over and we carved pumpkins. Maggie helped, of course. Barbara's mom bought an inflatable Mickey Mouse (dressed up as a vampire). Maggie LOVES it. We are excited for Maggie to celebrate her first Halloween.

Barbara taught Maggie how to play hopscotch and they made a hopscotch game on the driveway. Maggie gets mad when I park on the hopscotch game and makes me move my car.
