swimming, dancing and cartwheels

\

The hot weather of summer is upon us, which means alot of time in the water. We have had Maggie's pool out on several occasions and have been swimming at Barbara mom's a couple of times. Barbara found a life jacket/float at walmart. Maggie can move around the pool on her own without assistance, and it actually appears she is swimming at times, kicking her legs and moving her arms. It's amazing to watch. She loves the outdoors and the water so much.

At gymnastics this week, Maggie did several cartwheels all by herself. It was awesome to see how she is progressing. I was able to go watch her and took some video of her success. If I ever figure out how to transfer video, I will share it on the blog.

After gymnastics we went to see Dr. Sargent for our 1 year check up of Maggie's palate. He looked in her mouth and said that everything looks great. She will have another check up in a year, and he told us that the next procedure will be some orthodontic work when she is six.

The video I've added is Maggie dancing while enjoying her pool. I wish my camera could catch audio as well, but it is still cute watching her dance. I guess you can hum to yourself while you watch her.

When we were in Gatlinburg a couple of months ago, Barbara bought Maggie a Daisy Duck raincoat. Last week, she found some Daisy Duck boots on the Disney site on sale and ordered them. Maggie was so excited when they arrived this week, and had to wear them around the house. She can't wait to jump in puddles with them.

Have a great Father's Day everyone! I know I will....
