Halloween!

On Thursday, Maggie's nose was running more than usual and she was sneezing quite a bit. On Friday morning she seemed a little lethargic and had a fever of 100.4. We thought that Halloween was going to be a bust. Barbara called the doctor and he was able to see us that afternoon. He said her lungs sounded fine and her ears looked fine, and she may have just had a minor virus. Her temperature was 97 and he said that as long as she felt well and didn't have a fever, there was nothing wrong with her going trick or treating. That was great news! It turned out that our thermometer still showed her having a 100.4 fever right after the doctor's visit, so we got a new one. It seems that Maggie probably didn't have a fever at all, but we're still glad we were safer than sorry.
With that said, Maggie did go trick or treating! She got the hang of it pretty quickly and after each house she said "I wanna go to another house". We went to 8 or 9 houses in the neighborhood and then came home. It was a beautiful day but got cold pretty quickly. Barbara's mother came over to hand out candy so that we could both go with Maggie on her first Halloween.
