Teddy Bear Picnic/Fall Break/Nashville

Last week Maggie had her teddy bear picnic(s) at school. Because she goes 5 days a week, her class participated in two picnics. Unfortunately, due to the rain, the picnics were inside. That didn't keep it from being a success. Barbara went to the picnic on Wednesday and I went on Thursday. Maggie was so excited to have us at her school and we were glad to be there. They had bear shaped sandwiches, cookies, a bear cake, and lots of good food. It was nice to see her at school and watch her interact with the kids.

This week is her fall break so she has no school. I will be staying home with her most of the week so it will be nice to have the time together. Today I was able to watch her gymnastics class and she did great. We also went out to dinner with Mia and her family and had a great time.

Because it was fall break, there was no soccer game this past weekend. I think we will have 5 soccer games to play in the next 3 weeks, so I hope it doesn't rain.

Yesterday we went to Nashville and had lunch with Barbara's dad and his new wife, followed by shopping. Maggie spent her own money for the first time - she bought a Donald Duck cup and a Minnie Mouse fork and spoon. She was also able to play on the little rides they have in the mall. It was a long day, but we all had fun. On Saturday, Maggie made a pumpkin cake. She added all the ingredients herself (including the eggs), did the mixing, and add the frosting and sprinkles. The cake is delicious!
